Midvale Coliary Gamoca, WV Scrip
Hello, My husband's grandfather died in 1950. He died in Midvale Mine in Gamoca West Virginia. His death certificate states it was a skull fracture from a slate fall. I am looking to purchase some Midvale Coliary scrip so my husband has something of a connection with his grandfather. I've been looking on ebay for quite awhile. If you are willing to part with any scrip or know of someone who is, I am looking to purchase anything from that mine company.

In the early 1900s my grandfather owned a grocery store on the road between Wheeler and Kayjay. He sold moonshine out the back to the miners. Traded in coal scrip, cents on the dollar. Wish he had kept some of that scrip. But unfortunately he wasn’t sentimental about his money
