Cuffey, KY
Does anyone know the location of Cuffey. It was in Harlan County. Also, I have two different locations for Bland, KY. Does anyone know where Bland was?

I have a photo of Frank Sutton's 1231 K50 but don't know the size for sure. Judging by the 2 x 2 it is around 37mm. But yeah, probably 39mm.

I am trying to locate a NSCA article on Duo Supply, Duo, WV as potential coal scrip that I read a week or so ago. Gettin’ old, I can’t recall where I read the article. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Burley Williams and I have been discussing Jewell Ridge back and forth over the last few months. But....not the Jewell Ridge Virginia mines, the Blair Fork mine in Kentucky. If they did share scrip, it would only make sense that it would be the VA 1449 F series (Orco No Date). That may be why there i…
I was talking with a buddy today about scrip. He said his grandfather worked for Stonega. This made me think of the Stonega scrip at Imboden. Why did the other stores of Stonega (Dunbar, Keokee etc.) not have their own scrip? Did they use the Imboden scrip? Did they not use scrip? Did they have paper scrip? Anybody got any answers on this?
Both of these locations were shipping points on the L & N railroad. Bland was the shipping point for R. C. Tway Coal Company. 1946 Keystone shows R. C. Tway at Harlan Ky with Bland being the shipping point. I think Cuffey was the shipping point for Standard Harlan Coal Co just upstream from Evarts.
